FLOATING SIEGE

Through the decades living together, japanese and islanders exchanged experiences in many moments. The floating siege, a fishing technique adopted by many caiçaras (seaside inhabitants) throughout the southeast brazilian seaside, was introduced on the region by japanese immigrants. Jitsumei Hadama, best known as Mr. Antônio, took care of the siege located at Araçatibinha Tip for years. Nowadays, the place belongs to Mr. Almir, who collects the fishing of the day early in the morning.
